GREAT PLACE TO WORK?

We frequently assess and celebrate financial success in business, but how often do we measure if our workplaces are healthy and happy? How often do we experience bosses and co-workers who drive us nuts? How often do we reflect and gauge if our organisations are GREAT places to work at?

The Great Place To Work Institute in New York surveyed millions of employees and studied thousands of businesses to establish the definitive standard of what a great workplace is. The verdict: “Great workplaces are built through the day-to-day relationships that employees experience.”

From the Employee’s perspective, a great workplace is one where they:

  • TRUST the people they work for;
  • Have PRIDE in what they do; and
  • ENJOY the people they work with.

From the Manager’s perspective, a great workplace is one where they:

  • ACHIEVE ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES;
  • With employees who GIVE THEIR PERSONAL BEST; and
  • WORK TOGETHER AS A TEAM / FAMILY in an environment of TRUST
How Great is YOUR workplace and how do you measure it?
